over 30 years of experience and education in adapted physical activity, specializing in sports for individuals who are blind or visually impaired. After earning her bachelor’s degree from Indiana University of Pennsylvania while competing on the field hockey team, she went on to complete her master’s degree in Adapted Physical education from Texas Woman’s University. Throughout her career, Wendy has combined her passion for teaching and athletics, teaching Adapted Physical Activity at Slippery Rock University. She has coached goalball at the local, state, national, and international level and was part of the coaching staff for the 1996 USA women’s Goalball team in the Atlanta Paralympics. Fueled by her love of sports, she’s made it her mission to make athletics accessible for all. As Wendy continued to grow and travel within the world of blind sports, she eventually settled in Western Pennsylvania with her husband, Mark, where they raised four children and built the life-changing program that is Envision Blind Sports. Originally from Alabama, she earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Alabama before moving north to continue her education and professional development. During her six years at SRU, she worked as the project coordinator for the Transition Achievement Program while also creating a connection to Envision Blind Sports and Wendy Fagan. During that time, she also earned her second master’s degree in Health and Physical Education from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 2021. Her passion for adapted sports and programs led her to become a part-time program coordinator for Envision while working as an Adapted Physical Education Teacher in Chicago. A firm believer in Envision’s mission, Jillian later committed to Envision full time and was named Program Director in 2025. Sports and recreation have always been a central part of Jillian’s life and she’s proud to share that passion with athletes who are blind and visually impaired. Invited by his instructor, Wendy Fagan, he joined the VIP Sports ski program (now Envision Blind Sports) as a blind guide and has been a dedicated part of the Envision family ever since. Over the years, Ben has held several roles that have all contributed to Envision’s continued growth and success. Today, he serves as Envision’s Program Manager, overseeing the ski program and coordinating one of Envision’s largest annual fundraisers, the Frank Barnes Memorial Golf Outing. Ben loves combining his passion for skiing with his commitment to supporting individuals with disabilities. “There are few better feelings in the world than helping someone who is blind or visually impaired ski down a mountain,” he says, “The smiles from both the athletes and the parents are priceless to me.” His love for the program and all of the athletes, volunteers, and families drives his dedication to Envision’s mission year after year. Alongside his position at Envision, Ben works as a Principal Management Consultant at M2 Strategy where he provides portfolio and project management expertise to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). During her time at Penn State, she served as a Social Media Coordinator Intern for the Nittany Lions’ swim and dive program and was an active member of the Association of Women in Sports Media (AWSM), where she grew her skills in digital communication and media strategy. Before stepping into the world of blind sports, Emma spent more than 10 years as a swim instructor and coach. She brings 15 years of competitive swimming experience, including time as a collegiate swimmer at the University of Pittsburgh before transferring to Penn State to pursue her degree and her passion for sports media. At Envision, Emma blends her communication expertise with her lifelong love of athletics, managing social media, web content, and the Envision Charity Team for Pittsburgh Marathon Weekend each year. Her favorite days are the ones spent working directly with athletes, especially in the pool. He deeply values the organization for the camaraderie and the impactful life lessons it imparts to its athletes, reflecting his commitment to community, sports, and a shared passion for Envision’s mission. As a family therapist, Susann brings expertise in relationship building and community care to the board. A longtime employee of DICK'S Sporting Goods, she currently works on DICK'S Foundation Fundraising and Community Relations, bringing valuable connections and corporate support to Envision. Beyond her professional role, Colleen serves as Co-Director of the Rotary Youth Leadership Awards, where she helps inspire leadership in rising high school seniors. A former teacher and middle school basketball coach, he now serves as a private banker at First National Bank, bringing valuable expertise in budgeting, strategic planning, fundraising, and relationship building. With years of experience leading teams both on the court and in the business world, he believes deeply in the power of sports to teach resilience, teamwork, and growth through adversity. Drawn to Envision’s mission of empowering blind athletes through sport, he is eager to contribute his skills and network to help expand opportunities and visibility for Envision’s programs. As the owner of an independent health insurance and Medicare agency based in Butler, PA, and a former high school English and communications teacher, Lukas brings strong skills in communication, relationship-building, and client service. Inspired by a lifelong friend who is visually impaired and actively involved in the blind sports community, Lukas was drawn to Envision's mission of empowerment through sport. He looks forward to contributing to the organization’s growth through fundraising, marketing, and community involvement. Ties Adam became a member of the Board of Directors in2025, inspired by his brother Ricky, a talented blind paralympic judo athlete and former collegiate wrestler, who had recently volunteered at Envsion’s Summer Camp. Growing up as the second of seven children, Adam, along with his two blind (retinitis pigmentosa) brothers, developed a deep understanding of overcoming challenges and creating equal opportunities for people with visual impairments to succeed and thrive. As CEO and co-founder of Evolutio, a technology consulting firm that focuses on innovative AI driven solutions, Adam brings dynamic leadership, a forward-thinking approach, and a proven history of driving growth. He also dedicates his time and energy to the community as a Young Life supported and organizer of various nonprofit initiatives. Since then, he has grown through the program, first as an athlete, then as a dedicated volunteer, and ultimately being voted onto the Board of Directors in 2025 as an athlete representative. Throughout that time, Mason also earned his bachelor’s degree in Special Education - Transition Programming with a minor in Adapted Physical Activity from Slippery Rock University. Now living in Pittsburgh, he works as a paraprofessional at The Day School at The Children’s Institute of Pittsburgh. Mason has made lifelong friends through Envision and continues to serve as a remarkable role model for EBS athletes. His unwavering dedication to Envision and passion for empowering others have made him a strong advocate and voice for the blind and visually impaired community. A dedicated athlete, Emma came to the program with an underdeveloped optic nerve along with strabismus, nystagmus, astigmatism, no depth perception, and light sensitivity due to congenital cataracts that were not removed until she was three and a half years old. Over the years, she has taken on several roles from athlete to volunteer, and now serves on the Board of Directors as an Athlete Representative. In this position, Emma helps ensure that the voices and perspectives of blind and visually impaired athletes are represented in Envision’s decision-making and future initiatives. A 2025 graduate from Slippery Rock University, Emma earned her bachelor’s degree in Special Education - Transition Programming with a minor in Adapted Physical Activity and Recreational Therapy. She now works full-time as a behavior technician at The Watson Institute and part-time as a program coordinator and club assistant at The Woodlands Foundation. She is passionate about creating opportunities for youth who are blind and visually impaired and advocates daily for others to Fear Less and Do More. In addition to proudly representing Envision, Emma serves her community as a USABA Sports Ambassador, Outreach Coordinator for The Dented Puck, and a Level 1 Blind Soccer Coach.
