We’re thrilled to kick off our 2026 Ski Season at Hidden Valley Resort! Join us for a day of learning, skill enhancement, and fun on the slopes. Thanks to the Vail Epic Promise Grant, costs have been significantly reduced for our athletes.

Time: 9:30am - 3:30pm ET

Cost: $60/athlete (Financial assistance available if needed)

2026 Pittsburgh Marathon Weekend

Envision is returning as an official charity through the Run for a Reason program in The 2026 Pittsburgh Marathon. We’re super excited to make this year the best marathon weekend yet!

Here’s some information on our relay teams and other events — Stay tuned for more!

Marathon Weekend Events:

Relay Details:

  • 5 legs total (5.3mi / 3.8mi / 6.4mi / 6.5mi / 4.2mi)

  • Runners must be 14+ years old

  • Walking is not permitted

  • More relay info: HERE

*Important: Envision is covering all relay registration fees! We simply ask that each relay runner raises at least $200 to help us meet our fundraising goal and have our race fees refunded.

If you’re interested and committed to run a marathon relay leg on Sunday, May 3, please email me at ewilson@envisionblindsports.org by February 1, 2026 with:

  • Name

  • Email & phone number

  • If you’re also planning to run the half or full marathon (limited spots available as you must start at Leg 1)

  • Preferred leg distance, if any (shorter or longer - there are no guarantees)

  • If you require a guide runner

Teams will be randomized and created after the sign-up deadline (February 1st). Once finalized, I’ll send out the team lists and we’ll get you registered.

Attendees can stop by to learn about adaptive sports and try out hands-on sport and recreation demos. 2025 Envision Blind Sports Camp

Envision’s 2025 Summer Sports Camp returns with a extensive list of sports and activities.

Below is the camp registration form link. Please make sure to fill out this form as soon as you know your athlete(s) can attend camp so you can reserve their spot. Our team will continue to assess numbers and will release a cap when approaching our camp maximum.

Camp is designed to meet the needs of blind and visually impaired athletes. In order to accommodate more blind athletes, we will be significantly restricting the number of sighted siblings again this year. Sighted siblings will only be allowed to attend camp through an application process. Families who would like a sibling to attend must contact us first, and then our staff will send an application for you to fill out. The Envision staff will vet all applicants and provide families with a decision.

Practice your balance skills as we take on paddleboarding with SurfSUP Adventures this June! We’ll be launching from the McDanels Boat Launch in Moriane State Park to paddle around Lake Arthur.

2025 Pittsburgh Marathon

We’re thrilled to share that we are returning as an official charity partner in the Pittsburgh Marathon’s Run for a Reason Program! 

Our goal for 2025 is to raise $30,000 to support our mission and empower our athletes to Fear Less and Do More. By taking part, you’ll make a meaningful impact, helping us continue to provide sports and physical activities for individuals who are blind or visually impaired while also advocating for them in their communities and classrooms.

How you can get involved:

Join The Envision Team!

  • Select Envision Blind Sports as your preferred charity organization

  • Fundraise as you prepare for the race - we’ll provide a helpful guide to support you

    • Get your registration fee refunded by meeting your race’s fundraising minimum.

    • Earn prizes as you reach fundraising milestones!

  • Crush it on race day!

** For any athlete that would like to run with a guide, you are permitted to run with a family member, a preferred guide, or Envision can provide a guide for you.

Age considerations:

  • 5K: Open to all ages. Runners under 14 must have a partner (provided by Envision if needed)

HOW IT WORKS:

After registering and selecting “Envision Blind Sports” as your charity, you will receive your own fundraising page that you can personalize through Race Roster and use to collect donations. When you receive a confirmation email with your page dashboard, you must edit your profile to include Envision Blind Sports as your charity of choice. If you raise your fundraising minimum based on the chart below, your registration fee will be refunded and the balance will be donated to Envision.

Paddleboarding with SurfSUP

We are headed to Moraine State Park for a paddleboarding event with SurfSUP Adventures. SurfSUP is a premiere paddleboarding outfitter that provides lessons, tours, rentals, and gear. We will be paddleboarding at McDanels Boat Launch.

This event is open to all ages and snacks will be provided.

Cost: $20

May Sports Clinic

Envision’s May Sports Clinic will include horseback riding, tandem biking, and archery. This event is open to all ages and siblings and will take place at Storm Harbor Equestrian Center in Slippery Rock, PA.

Cost: $10 per athlete

The 2024 Pittsburgh Marathon

We’re thrilled to announce that we are returning as an official charity partner in the Pittsburgh Marathon’s Run for a Reason Program. Our team raised over $6,000 last year to support our Envision endeavors and families. This year, we are eager to exceed that $6,000 mark.

How to Get Involved:

  • Run or walk any of the races

    • **All races can be walked with the exception of the Full Marathon

  • Volunteer

  • Donate to one of our runners

Runners will have the option to select Envision Blind Sports as the charity to run for at any of the Pittsburgh Marathon events on May 4th & 5th. By becoming an EBS Charity Runner, you’ll receive an Envision T-shirt to wear on race day. As you reach certain benchmarks in your fundraising, we are offering opportunities to earn more Envision gear such as sweatshirts and ¼ zips.

Schedule of Events:

May 4th (SAT)

  • 8am - 5K

  • 8:30am - Toddler Trot

  • 9:30 am - Kids Marathon

May 5th (SUN)

  • 7am - Marathon

  • 7am - ½ Marathon

HOW IT WORKS:

Charity runners will have the option to select a charity to run for in Race Roster. After registering and selecting “Envision Blind Sports”, you will receive your own fundraising page that you can personalize through Race Roster and use to collect donations. If you raise your fundraising minimum based on the chart below, your registration fee will be refunded and the balance will be donated to Envision.

Hartford/ Move United Grant Unveiling

Thanks to a $30,000 grant from Hartford Insurance and Move United, Envision is able to provide teachers in our community with a mix of their very own adaptive sports equipment. A grant unveiling event will be held to present the equipment to our teachers. This event will also include a goalball and blind soccer demonstration.

Multi-Day Ski Trip (VT)

Our final Ski event will be a multi-day trip to Mt. Snow, VT. This event is for intermediate and above level skiers. Thanks to the Vail Epic Promise Grant Envision received this year, athlete costs will be significantly reduced. The cost for our Vermont trip will be $50/day. This will cover the athlete’s lift ticket, rentals, and lessons from a trained guide.

Family members and friends will still have to pay the group rate which is TBD.
